• An introduction to the study of the night sky for amature pursuit or as preparation for further study in astrophysics. Topics to be covered include scale and origins of the universe, motions of the heavens, the solar system, the life of stars, galaxies and large scale structure of the universe.

  • Electric field and potential; steady state and transient DC circuits; magnetic field, Faraday's Law, electromagnetic waves. Lectures and laboratory.

    Prerequisites: MATH 232 And PHYS 231

  • Empirical analysis of experimental data; kinematics and dynamics of a particle; energy, linear momentum, and gravitation. Lecture and laboratory.
